Tribute to Rusty Spike

My wife played roller derby with the Kansas City Roller Warriors. Her skater name was Rusty Spike and she played for the 2007 League Champion Dreadnaught Dorothys. Unfortunately she injured her back in one of the bouts and has retired. I was so proud of her accomplishments (these ladies really work hard) that I wanted to make a tribute to her roller derby career. This sculpture is what I came up with. Her number was 16 so the base has 16 railroad spikes welded to it. We found the spikes on our many walks together down the railroad tracks near our warehouse.
