Sculptures

I am exploring a new form of artistic expression through sculptural welding. Working with these materials and methods has been exciting and very challenging. Moving from two dimensional works to three dimensional pieces presents a whole new way of seeing items in space for me. I’m working to establish unique and interesting relationships and rhythms with the various forms. I have been collecting metal objects for many years and it is very satisfying to have a creative process with these materials. I’m drawn to weathered and rusted steel, especially circular forms. I’m particularly interested in how they interact with the environment as well as with the viewer.
